
Commandant NACOLM Pays Operational Visit To Exercise Ofo Nwagha Camp Area, Ajilete
The Commandant Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM), Major General Wisdom Etuk, paid an operational visit recently to the Exercise OFO NWAGHA Camp Area at the 81 Division Training Area, Ajilete-Owode, Ogun State. The exercise was conducted as part of the packages for Junior Leadership and Staff Officers’ Course (JLSOC) 3/2024 training.
On arrival, Major General Etuk who was the Special Guest of Honour (SGOH) was received at the Quarter Guard by the Deputy Commandant/Director of Studies, Brigadier General JIB Manjang, along with other senior staff officers of the College. After inspecting the Quarter Guard, the Commandant and other invited dignitaries proceeded to the Information Centre, where one of the JLSOC 3/2024 student participant delivered a briefing on the exercise.
Following the briefing, the team embarked on a guided tour of the camp, visiting various operational cells where they received additional briefings on different aspects of the exercise. The visit also included a stop at the operations room, where the team was further briefed on the tactical phases and operational plans of the exercise.
It would be recalled that, Exercise OFO NWAGHA is designed to assess the leadership qualities, command and control capabilities, map-reading skills and endurance of the course participants. A team of observers, comprising commanders and commandants from various units and formations within 81 Division general area, evaluated the participants’ readiness and provided key teaching points to enhance the exercise’s effectiveness.
The event concluded with operational briefings, refreshments and presentation of souvenirs.
