Commandant Nigerian Army School Of Infantry Major General Frank Etim Solicit For Support Of Defence Industries Corporation Of Nigeria On Maintenance, Repair Of Training Equipment

The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) Major General Frank Etim has solicited the support of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) on maintenance and repair of training equipment. He made this request on Monday 10 February 2025, when he paid a courtesy visit to the Director General DICON Major General Aniedi Edet in Kaduna.

NASI Commandant appreciated the Director General DICON for his warm reception and commended members of his military and civilian staff for their diligence to service. Major Genera Etim, who took over command as the 43rd Commandant of NASI on the 21 January 2025, posited that the visit to DICON was to help identify areas of collaboration between both establishments. The Commandant noted the effort of DICON towards meeting Defence needs. Major General Etim further expressed his optimism of DICON capacity to both NASI repair and maintenance of NASI training facilities.

In his remarks, the Director General DICON Major General Aniedi Edet congratulated Major General Frank Etim for his well-deserved appointment as the Commandant NASI, describing the appointment as a ‘Round Peg in a Round Hole’. He appreciated the Commandant for his visit DICON. The DG gave a brief activities carried out by the Corporation and explained that DICON and NASI have maintained very cordial working relationship. He particularly appreciated NASI role in facilitating the testing of the Corporation’s pyrotechnic and other equipment of NASI over the years.
