Commandant Nigerian Naval College Embarks On Strategic Stakeholder Engagements To Strengthen Inter-Agency Collaboration
The Commandant, Nigerian Naval College (NNC), Ebubu, Rear Admiral Johnson Adekunle Adewoyin, has embarked on a series of strategic courtesy visits to key military, paramilitary and civil organizations within the Onne and Eleme axis following his resumption of office as the 38th Commandant of the College. The engagements are part of efforts to strengthen institutional relationships, enhance professional cooperation and reinforce collaborative frameworks that support the training and development mandate of the College.
During the visits, Rear Admiral Adewoyin called on several notable organizations within the College’s operational environment, including the Department of State Services, Nigerian Customs Service Area Command and Intels Nigeria Limited, all located in Onne. Other institutions visited include Naval Shipyard Limited, Charkin Maritime Academy, Nigerian Navy Ship Jubilee, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Nigeria Immigration Service, Notore Chemical Industries Plc as well as the Nigerian Navy Hydrographic School.
The Commandant noted that the visits were aimed at fostering mutual understanding and strengthening strategic collaboration between the Nigerian Naval College and critical stakeholders whose roles contribute significantly to maritime security, training and national development. He emphasized that sustained inter-agency cooperation remains vital in addressing contemporary security challenges and advancing Nigeria’s maritime interests.
The series of visits forms an integral component of the Nigerian Naval College’s Schedule of Events and underscores the College’s commitment to building strong partnerships with relevant military, paramilitary and civil institutions in support of its mandate of training professional naval personnel for the Nigerian Navy.
