
Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Pays Courtesy Visit To Abia State Police Command and Department Of State Services, Assures Commitment Towards Professionalism
The Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, who also doubles as the Commander Sector 3 Joint Task Force South East, Operation UDO KA, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, on Monday, 10 February 2026, at the Force Headquarters, Umuahia, Abia State.
Upon arrival, Brigadier General Dikko and his entourage were warmly received by the Commissioner of Police and members of his management team. The visit was aimed at strengthening and consolidating on the existing collaboration and synergy between the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force in Abia State.
In his remarks, CP Danladi Isa noted that the sustained collaboration with the Nigerian Army has remained productive and worthwhile, contributing significantly to the maintenance of law and order in the state.
Brigadier General Ahmad Mansur Dikko, while commending the Abia State Police Command for its hard work and professionalism in ensuring relative peace and security across the state, urged the Command to sustain the current operational tempo. He further expressed his readiness to maintain a smooth, cordial, and productive working relationship between both security agencies.
The Commissioner of Police reiterated that the military remains a principal partner to the Command in the fight against crime and criminality in the state. He described the relationship between the agencies as peaceful and commendable, stressing that there is no rivalry or competition, as the Constitution clearly defines their respective roles and responsibilities.
CP Isa further emphasized the need for continuous synergy among security agencies to guarantee the safety and security of lives and property in Abia State. Other areas of collaboration and joint operations were discussed, as both parties reaffirmed their commitment to professionalism and effective inter-agency cooperation.
In a similar development, the Commander 14 Brigade also paid a courtesy visit to the State Director, Department of State Services (DSS), Abia State, Mr. Kingsley Anuforo.
During the visit, Brigadier General Dikko expressed his appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage, noting that professionalism among security agencies cannot be overemphasized in achieving sustainable peace and security.
In his response, the State Director, DSS, Mr. Kingsley Anuforo, stated that security is a collective responsibility and not a one-man affair, stressing that all hands must be on deck to ensure peace and tranquility in the state. He assured the Commander of the service’s continued support in consolidating existing collaboration with sister security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Army.
The Deputy Director, Mr. O. A. Onisemo, also thanked the Commander and his staff officers for the operational successes recorded, attributing them to the effective support and synergy among security agencies.
The State Director congratulated Brigadier General Dikko on his recent appointment and reaffirmed the commitment and support of the DSS to his command.
