
Commander 2 Brigade Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Officers
The Commander, 2 Brigade, Nigerian Army (NA), Brigadier General Nnabueze Emmanuel Okoloagu has today 7 April 2026 decorated Six newly promoted senior officers with their new badges of ranks. The ceremony was conducted at 2 Phyton Officers Mess Extension, Mbiokporo Military Cantonment, Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking at the event, Brigadier General Okoloagu thanked the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu for finding the officers worthy to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonels in the NA. He further admonished the newly promoted officers to be role models to their subordinates. He further called on them to dedicate themselves to the service of the NA and fatherland.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the beneficiaries, Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Adamu Kukah expressed their profound gratitude to the Almighty God for making this day a reality. He also thanked the COAS for the elevation and promised to carry out their responsibilities with renewed vigour and utmost professionalism. He also appreciated the Commander 2 Brigade for his exemplary leadership, guidance and support.
The beneficiaries included Lieutenant Colonels Emmanuel Adamu Kukah, Adebisi Aliyu Aderemi, Owen Joseph Ewe, Sunday Olusegun Abodunrin, Umar Musa Tello and Chimzim Chinda.
The ceremony attracted people from all walks of life, including the Chief of Staff, Headquarters 2 Brigade, Colonel Joshua Kolawole Adisa, Commander 2 Brigade Garrison Lieutenant Colonel Abdul’azez Ajibola Jimo, Commanding Officer 6 Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Ezekiel Yakubu Gyan, family members, friends and well-wishers of the newly promoted officers.
