Commander 6 Brigade Hosts NARC Participants On Strategic Study Tour To Taraba State
The Commander 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has received participants of the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) Strategic Management and Policy Studies Course 7/2025 on a local study tour of Taraba State today 3 March 2025 at the Brigade Headquarters in Jalingo.
During the visit, General Uwa briefed the participants on the operational activities, successes, challenges, and future projections of the Brigade. He highlighted the significant achievements recorded in combating insecurity over the past year through both kinetic and non-kinetic operations. He noted that incidents of kidnapping for ransom, banditry, gun running, and communal clashes have drastically reduced due to the relentless efforts of the Brigade’s gallant troops.
As part of the briefing, General Uwa showcased a display of arms and ammunition recovered from various successful operations. He commended the dedication and resilience of the Brigade’s troops, whose unwavering commitment has contributed immensely to restoring peace and stability in the state.
In his remarks, the Team Leader, Major General Dahiru Sanusi, who represented the Director General of NARC, Major General Garba Ayodeji Wahab (Rtd), expressed gratitude to the Commander and his officers for their warm reception and hospitality. He highlighted that the study tour is designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real world application, with a specific focus on assessing the impact of the Brigade’s security efforts on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) within the state.
The tour will continue with visits to other strategic locations across Taraba State, allowing participants to gain firsthand insights into the security dynamics and the Nigerian Army’s role in fostering a stable and secure environment.
