Commander Corps Of Artillery Visits Nigerian Army School Of Artillery, Commissions Project
The newly appointed 49th Commander Corps of Artillery (CCA), Major General Zakari Abubakar hisited the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) from Monday, 3 to Wednesday, 5 February 2025, as part of his familiarization tour of Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery (NACA) establishments.
During the 3-day visit, Major General Abubakar engaged in various activities, including inspection of Quarter Guard and received bbriefsfrom the Commandant NASA, Major General John Adeyemo.
He also addressed officers, the School, and NASA Barracks Women, describing his visit as a “homecoming” and reaffirming the military leadership’s commitment to enhancing personnel welfare and their families. The CCA assured the School of unwavering support towards improving living, working, and learning conditions.
He emphasized the importance of personnel committing to their daily activities to achieve his command philosophy, aimed at professionally repositioning NACA.
During the visit, Major General Abubakar participated in a tree-planting ceremony, commissioned satellite-based internet facility project named after Late Col TE Dong (rtd), received briefed from the outgoing Commanding Officer, 305 Demonstration Battalion, Lt Col Emmanuel Osondu and took a guided tour of NASA Cantonment.

The CCA also visited NASA Exercise BRUSH-UP Camp, where he motivated NACA personnel on Pre-Induction Training as part of the NA Force Generation Plan for Ythe ear 2025.
Major General Abubakar salsoinspected the training facilities, a key staging area for the annual Corps FTX, Exercise VULCAN GLOW.
