The Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Anaryu, has called for timely and realistic logistics feedback from the theatre of Joint Task Force North East (JTF NE), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK).
Maj Gen Anaryu made the call on Saturday 14 September 2025, during a familiarisation visit to the Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK in Maiduguri, where he was received by the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.
In his remarks, the CCST noted that logistics is the backbone of every military operation and emphasised the need for synergy between the Theatre and the Corps of Supply and Transport to sustain ongoing successes.
He added that his visit was aimed at obtaining first-hand information on the logistics requirements of the theatre and to interface with field commanders for effective solutions.
While appreciating the leadership of Maj Gen Abubakar, he charged commanders to prioritise troops welfare and morale in line with the “Soldiers Come First” concept of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede.
He also assured of measures to address identified challenges such as shortage of trained drivers and the need for standard sheds for operational vehicles.
Responding, the Theatre Commander, Maj Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar, welcomed the CCST and commended the Corps for its continuous support to OPHK.
He pledged sustained cooperation in the areas of logistics, training, and operations, while appreciating the Corps for the quality of officers deployed to the theatre.
The visit featured an interactive session with field commanders, a presentation on OPHK’s operational activities, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
