Commander Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace Decorates Newly Promoted Officers

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Joint Task Force Operation ENDURING PEACE (JTF OPEP), Major General Folusho Oyinlola, on 23 November 2025 decorated 17 newly promoted soldiers of OPEP at the Headquarters Operation ENDURING PEACE Multipurpose Hall in Jos.

In his remarks, Major General Oyinlola congratulated the promoted soldiers on their well-deserved elevation, describing it as a reward for discipline, hard work, and dedication to duty. He urged them to live up to the responsibilities that accompany their new ranks.

The Commander further charged the soldiers to be role models and to live lives worthy of emulation by their subordinates.

While commending the spouses of the newly promoted soldiers for their supportive roles in managing the home front during their husbands’ absence on military duties, General Oyinlola advised the soldiers to prioritize the well-being of their families at all times.

Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the newly decorated soldiers, Warrant Officer Joseph Simon expressed gratitude to God for the promotion and thanked the Chief of Army Staff for finding them worthy of elevation. He also appreciated Major General Oyinlola for his mentorship, support, and exemplary leadership.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of Staff, Operation ENDURING PEACE, Principal Staff Officers of HQ OPEP, Component Commanders, as well as families and well-wishers of the newly promoted soldiers. The event concluded with a group photograph.
