Commander NATRAC Graduates Troops On Pre-Deployment Training, Urges Them To Be Professional

The Commander Nigerian Army Training Center(NATRAC)Kontagora Major General John Omolaja Sokoya ealier today 30 September 2025 graduated troops of pre-deployment training from NATRAC. The training which was part of Army Headquarters Department of Army Operations(DAOPS) initiative for the rotation of overstayed troopss in Joint Task Force (Northeast) Operation Hadin Kai Theatre, started on 20 July 2025 and lasted for a period of 9 weeks was concluded with the graduation.

In his opening remarks the the Commander who was represented by the Director, Soldiers Professional Training Directorate, NATRAC, Brigedier General Mohammed Gambo Hammawa urged the troops to imbibe the training giving to them and ensure that they remain professional always as the prepare to be deployed in the theatre of operation. He admonished them to stay off hard drugs and other hard substances while they are deployed in order to have clear judgement during their engagement in their area of operation. He thanked them for their good conduct while on training and charged them to be good ambassadors of the army as they embark on their new assignment.

Earlier while delivering the training highlights, the Deputy Chief of Staff Training and Operations, NATRAC, Colonel Gimba Momoh stated that, the essence of the training was to practice the troops on all aspects of physical training, marksmanship, concealment, covert observation, precision targeting, target interdiction, sniper operation, and close quarter battle. Others include rules of engagement,law of armed conflict,hostage rescue and human rights, violation and abuse. All these and many more to enable the troops match emerging contemporary threats within the theatre where the troops will operate.

Highlights of the occasion was the push up exercise conducted by the representative of the commander, three hearty cheers and group photographs.
