Commander TRADOC Nigerian Army Addresses Candidates For Captain To Major Practical Promotion Examination

Major General Kevin Aligbe, Commander of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC NA), Nigerian Army, addressed Candidates and Directing Staff for the Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination 2025 on Sunday, October 5, 2025. The event took place at the Lieutenant General Faruq Yahaya Badminton Court, Headquarters 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

In his address, Major General Aligbe who is also the Examination President congratulated the candidates on this career milestone, emphasizing that the examination is a fair assessment of their proficiency and capacity for higher responsibilities. He urged the candidates to approach the examination with seriousness and professionalism, noting that it will test their logical reasoning and report-writing skills.

The Examination President also charged the Directing Staff to maintain objectivity, realism, and fairness during the examination. He stressed that any form of malpractice will not be tolerated and encouraged candidates to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the examination.

Major General Emmanuel Eric Emekah, General Officer Commanding 6 Division Nigerian Army and Land Component Commander Joint Task Force (South-South) Operation Delta Safe, represented by Brigadier General Dawha Emmanuel Adamu, welcomed the candidates and commended the Examination Panel for their professionalism. He emphasized the importance of discipline, integrity, and adherence to the Nigerian Army’s code of conduct.

The General Officer Commanding urged the candidates to take the examination seriously, avoid malpractice, and uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and excellence. He also charged the Directing Staff to report any unprofessional conduct and emphasized their critical role in ensuring the credibility of the examination.

The event concluded with wishes of success for the candidates and a call to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
