Commissioner Of Police FCT Command Visits Headquarters Guards Brigade

The newly appointed Commissioner of Police Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, CP Ajao Saka Adewale today 13 May 2025 paid a courtesy visit to the Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Adebisi Olusegun Onasanya in the Brigade Headquarters Conference Room at Aguyi Ironsi Cantonment Asokoro Abuja.

The Commissioner of Police CP Saka Adewale stated that purpose of his visit was to familiarise himself with his new environment, and particularly appreciate the Commander Guards Brigade, officers and soldiers for their hard work who are tasked with the responsibility of protecting the seat of power and securing the FCT and its environs.

CP Ajao noted that though it was not his first time serving in the FCT, this appointment has, however, given him a higher responsibility, which requires stronger synergy with the Army, hence the need to visit the Brigade

The Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Commander and Staff Officers of the Brigade for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage and further seek the Brigade’s continuous support to the Nigeria Police to enable them effectively carry out their assigned mandate and to also ensure that lives and properties are adequately secured within the FCT and it’s environs.

The Commander Guards Brigade, Brigadier General Adebisi Onasanya in his responses thanked the Commissioner and his team for the visit while promising his constant support to the Police in any way possible to ensure that their purpose which is the protection of lives and properties are achieved, assuring that crime rates would be greatly reduced to the bearest minimum with the synergy between the two government institutions..

The Commander wished the commissioner a successful tour of tenure while hoping to have a good working relationship with him and his team.

Climaxing, the visit was the presentations of souvenirs as well as group photographs.
