Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has imposed a curfew in Offa and Erin-Ile towns following a communal clash between both communities that began on Thursday.
The curfew would begin from 6pm to 6 am until further notice.
Intelligence gathered that military reinforcements and mobile police have been deployed to restore peace in the area.
Sources say a clash among road transport workers on Wednesday metamorphosed into a communal clash between both communities on Thursday.
Offa and Erin-Ile communities have a history of boundary disputes.
Several persons lost their lives and properties in January 2013 during a communal clash between both parties that lasted for about 4 days.
