Coordinator NDAOWA Visits GOC 1 Division, Appreciates The Division’s Support To The Association

The Coordinator Nigerian Defence Academy Officers Wives’ Association (NDAOWA), Mrs Ruth Ochai and her entourage on Tuesday 26 September 2023, paid a courtesy call on the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 1 Division Nigeria Army, Maj Gen VU Okoro at the Division’s Headquarters, Kawo, Kaduna.

Speaking during the event, the GOC welcomed Coordinator NDAOWA and her entourage to the Division stating that he was highly delighted to have them at the Division Headquarters. He appreciated and commended the members for their love and support to their spouses and applauded the laudable/impressive achievements of the Association over the years.

Earlier in her remarks, the Coordinator NDAOWA, Mrs Ruth Ochai congratulated the Maj Gen VU Okoro on his well deserved appointment as the 42nd GOC and thanked him most sincerely for the warm reception despite his very tight schedules. Mrs Ochai also applauded the supportive roles of the Division in NDAOWA activities over the years and appealed for more.

She added that the main purpose of her visit was to make it known that NDAOWA is existing and will remain a part of the Nigerian Army being their spouses who keep the home fronts while they are out there carrying out their constitutional roles.
