Corps Commander Supply Extols 4 Special Forces Command Says Command Has Done So Much In Support of Nigerian Army Operations

In recognition of the outstanding successes recorded while supporting the Nigerian Army (NA) operational efforts, the Corps Commander Nigerian Army Supply and Transport Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya has extolled the 4 Special Forces (SF) Command. His exaltation of the Command was contained in his remarks during a familiarization visit that took place recently at the Command’s Headquarters in Doma Nasarawa State.

Speaking further, the Corps Commander reiterated the mission statement of his Corps which he said is aimed at advancing the development of a highly proficient Supply and Transport Corps capable of efficiently supporting the NA to fulfil its constitutional responsibilities in all missions. He maintained that the ST under his leadership will continue to support 4 Special Forces’s lift capability while playing other ancillary roles as the need arises. He commended 4 SF command for its unwavering stance and appreciable exploits at various theatres of operations across the country.

Responding to the Corps Commander’s remarks the Commander 4 SF Command Major General Olurotimi Azubuike Awolo expressed his appreciation for the visit. He stated that the visit was the first of its kind as it was the first time his Command was hosting a Corps Commander since his assumption of office as Commander.

Gen Awolo revealed that his Command has been unrelenting in engaging the services of the ST Bde which he said has been playing a pivotal role in support of the Command’s operational and administrative activities. In strengthening collaboration with the ST, ” I recently inaugurated a Driving Course for soldiers which is being coordinated by 79 ST Bde aimed improving the driving proficiency of the participants drawn from Formations and Units within the Command”, he added. He maintained that 4 SF under his leadership will remain focused, disciplined and professional in the discharge of its duties in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy.

Highlights of the visit include the Corps Commander’s briefing at 79 ST Bde where he was received by the Acting Commander Col Boniface Edibo. There was also a guided tour of facilities within the Cantonment and presentation of souvenirs.
