A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja yesterday granted former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro bail on self-recognition.
The presiding judge, Justice Anwuli I. Chikere, in her ruling held that Moro had no past criminal record as a public officer and as such, she believed he would not jump bail.
She, however, fixed April 27 for commencement of trial.
Meanwhile, the second and the third defendants: Anastasia Nwobia and F. O. Alayebami had bail conditions of N100 million each and one surety each, in like sum.
The sureties to the 2nd and 3rd defendants, the court held, must have a landed property in any part of the country. The documents of the property must be deposited with the court alongside the recent passport photographs of the defendants.
