
Courtesy Visit To The Chief Of The Naval Staff By The Executive Governor Of Plateau State
On Tuesday, 16 December 2025, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Sir Barrister Caleb Mannasseh Mutfwang paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (Admiralty Medal), at the Naval Headquarters, Abuja.
In his remarks, Governor Mutfwang stated that he came to congratulate the CNS on his appointment and seek his collaboration towards sustaining the peace on the plateau. He went on to say that he considered the CNS an indigene of Plateau State because the state is where everyone is welcome all the time. The Governor concluded by highlighting the careful steps implemented by his administration towards the peace and prosperity of all people in the state and the good results being recorded.
In his response, the CNS thanked His Excellency for the visit and confirmed that he has his roots in Plateau state having been born in Jos although he is an indigene of Kano State. The CNS then reminisced about his early childhood in Jos, his secondary education in Jos and his experience as a Sector Commander from 2012 – 2013, under the Defence Headquarters led Operation SAFE HAVEN which is now Operation ENDURING PEACE domiciled in Plateau State. Hence with his personal and professional ties to Plateau State, the CNS assured the Governor of all the support necessary to keep the peace on the plateau.
