Davido Signs Major Deal With top Company, RCA Records

Davido has now signed to new company, RCA Records, the home of A-list acts like Taylor Swift, Sia, Miley Cyrus, Zayn Malik and more.

The news was shared on Instagram by Efe Ogbeni, who posted the photos and congratulated the singer.

“‘Welcome to #RCA @rcarecords  @davidoofficial‘ chairman #peteredge we start the GRIND #afrofusion is here,” Ogbeni posted on Instagram.

This comes months after Davido’s groundbreaking million-dollar record deal with Sony BMG, and it is unclear the type of agreement he has with RCA Records, even though the news of the RCA deal was shared by a Sony staff, Efe Ogbeni.

Davido has been working extensively recently with international acts for his upcoming album, ‘Baddest’. The album had been slated for release last year, but following his deal with Sony, the work was paused as new singles with American acts were put in the works, including collaborations with Young Thug, Trey Songz, Tinashe and more.

According to Pulse, Davido has a new Extended Play (EP) coming which will introduce him to the American market, before the release of the albums.

Recently, he has been actively sharing photos from his studio session, preparing for the EP release which Pulse says will hit the market this August.

It has been a long time since fans anticipated his project, now we can’t wait to see what the RCA deal is all about.
