Defend The Nation At All Times – NASI Commandant Charges Graduating Students

The Commandant, Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Major General Frank Etim has charged students of the Special Warfare Course 72 and Counter Terrorist Course 57 to remain committed to securing the Nigerian populace and safeguarding the nation’s resources.

The Commandant gave the charge on Friday, 31 October, 2025 during the combined graduation ceremony of both courses held at the Special Warfare Wing Training Area, Jaji Military Cantonment, Kaduna. Major General Etim commended the graduating students for their resilience and dedication throughout their training, emphasizing that their newly acquired skills would play a vital role in addressing the nation’s evolving security challenges.

General Etim urged them to apply the knowledge and expertise gained to enhance the operational effectiveness of their units and formations. He reiterated the importance of continuous self-development and professionalism in the quest to tackling insurgency and terrorism. The Commandant reminded the students that the defense of the nation’s sovereignty rests on their commitment and sense of duty and further expressed confidence that with the training received.

In a related development, the School also graduated students of the Advance Range Management Course 42 and Skill-at-Arms Instructors Course 93 during a ceremony held at Shodeinde Hall, Platoon Weapons Wing, Jaji. While addressing the graduating students, Major General Etim urged them to put into practice the knowledge gained for the betterment of the Nigerian Army. He noted that the range exercises involves the use of live ammunition and urged the graduating students to always prioritize safety.

Other events and high points of the event was the presentation of merit awards to deserving students, and graduation reception for De-Inducted troops rotated from Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) as well as the Commissioning of accommodation for instructors, Inter-Company Obstacle Crossing competition by cadets of Executive Commission Course 2/25.
