Department Of Land Warfare AFCSC Strengthens Collaboration With NASI

The Commandant Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Major General Frank Etim, on Friday, 20 February 2026 received the newly appointed Director, Department of Land Warfare (D DLW), Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Jaji, Brigadier General Babatunde Omopariola alongside members of his entourage during a familiarization visit to the School Headquarters. The visit underscored the enduring institutional partnership between NASI and AFCSC in advancing professional military education and operational excellence in the Nigerian Army.

In his remarks, the Commandant NASI, Major General Etim congratulated the Director on his well-deserved appointment as Director Land Warfare AFCSC and emphasized that NASI will continue to collaborate with the Department of Land Warfare and AFCSC at large, particularly through the exchange of instructional best practices for better operational outcomes.

Earlier, Brigadier General Omopariola stated that the Department of Land Warfare, AFCSC is mandated to develop and deliver comprehensive land warfare doctrine; conduct professional military education and staff training for mid-level officers; undertake research and analysis on contemporary and emerging land operational challenges; and promote joint, inter-agency, and multinational operational synergy. The Director therefore solicited sustained collaboration and institutional support from NASI to further strengthen capacity development initiatives for the Nigerian Army.
