DG NYSC, LCCN Archbishop Laud Commander 23 Brigade For Enhanced Security In Adamawa State

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, today, 10 February 2025, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Paul Zawaya, at the Brigade Headquarters, Jimeta-Yola.

During the engagement, Brigadier General Zawaya commended the DG NYSC for the remarkable milestones achieved under his leadership, urging him to sustain the momentum. He emphasized the pivotal role of the NYSC scheme in fostering national unity and strengthening the bonds of cohesion across Nigeria.

In his remarks, Brigadier General Ahmed expressed deep gratitude to the Brigade for its unwavering support to NYSC scheme in Adamawa. He underscored the Commander’s outstanding leadership as instrumental in ensuring the prevailing peace and stability in Adamawa State, describing Brigadier General Zawaya as a model of exemplary leadership. The DG further noted that his visit to the Brigade aligns with his nationwide tour of NYSC camps and reinforces the collaboration between the military and the scheme.

In a similar development, the Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus, OFR, also paid homage to the Brigade Headquarters and applauded the relentless commitment of the troops to safeguarding lives and property within Adamawa State and beyond. He expressed profound appreciation for the support the Brigade continued to extend to the Church, which he noted, further solidifying the bond between the military and faith-based institutions in the region.

The visits were marked by the signing of the visitors’ book, the exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs, symbolizing mutual respect and collaboration between the Brigade and its esteemed visitors.
