Distinguished Knighthood: A Global Call For Peace
In a momentous ceremony at the 2023 World Peace Symposium in Abuja, on Thursday, September 21st, 2023, former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya (rtd) CFR, Zaruman Sokoto, Major General VO Ezugwu (rtd), and Brig. Gen. SK Usman, joined the ranks of esteemed knights for World Peace. This prestigious recognition was conferred upon us by the World Institute for Peace, reinforcing our commitment to fostering global peace, harmony and tranquility.
The ceremony, held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, was graced by distinguished personalities. Lieutenant General LO Adeosun (rtd) CFR, former Chief of Policy and Plans of the Nigerian Army, provided invaluable wisdom as Special Guest of Honour, Professor Joy Eyisi, Director of SIWES at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), delivered an enlightening Keynote Address while Honourable Babatunde Lekan Olatunji, a former lawmaker and financial guru, shared his insights as the Guest Speaker.
The momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in the journey towards a more peaceful world. The title “Knight of World Peace” and Fellowship of World Institute for Peace bestowed upon us by the World Institute for Peace exemplify our unwavering dedication to promoting global peace and unity.
Today I joined well-meaning people and peace lovers all over the world in the collective journey towards a more peaceful world, as I take pride in adding yet another feather to my many caps by adorning the garb of Knighthood of World Peace and Fellowship of World Institute for Peace
