Meet The Four New Artistes Signed To Marvin Records by Don Jazzy
The Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) family has just grown by 4, and it’s all thanks to Don Jazzy who has launched the careers of young, dedicated acts to his record label.
Today, the Mavin boss took to his Instagram to share the introductory clips of the line up of artistes which include the former Glo X Factor contestants, the DNA Twins, which he described as “the dangerous dynamic duo”; Poe who he branded the rapper’s rapper; and amazing John Drille, who Don Jazzy agrees is super talented.
It is unclear how Don Jazzy met these new acts.
Only days ago, the music boss joined an Instagram conversation on how much it costs to bring a new artiste into the music industry. Referencing a report that gave an estimate of $500,000, Don Jazzy said such funds could be expended on an act but yield zero profit, a point many other music bosses like NotJustOk’s Ovie Ofugara and Paul Okoye agreed with.
However, his artistes have been largely successful. Korede recently collaborated with Kelly Rowland, Reekado Banks, who won the competition Don Jazzy held on his Twitter in 2014, continues to headline the crop of artistes taking our music to the world, and Tiwa Savage is now Roc Nation’s shining star.
Now, we have new acts to watch blossom and we can’t wait to see the first works they put out!
