Donald Trump Picks Indiana Governor Mike Pence as Running Mate
Republican party presidential candidate, Donald Trump has announced Mike Pence, governor of the state of Indiana, as his running mate for the elections.
Trump had earlier on Friday said he was putting off an event to announce his vice presidential running mate because of the terrorist attack in Nice, France.
Friday afternoon however, the business mogul published a tweet declaring that he had selected Governor Pence:
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.

Sources close to the Trump campaign told ABC News that Mr Pence accepted the offer.
Trump hopes Mr Pence can help him appeal to the party’s conservatives.
Other candidates reportedly in the running were former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
Meanwhile the Democratic Party has continued its search for a vice presidential candidate to run along Mrs Hillary Clinton.
Sources close to the Clinton campaign tip Tim Kaine as the likely choice of the party.
