
Dr Mrs Temitope Oyinlola Takes Helm As NAOWA 3 Division Chapter Chairperson
Dr. Mrs. Temitope Oyinlola officially assumed the leadership mantle of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) 3 Division Chapter, succeeding Mrs. Fibishola Abubakar in a handover ceremony held on Thursday 13 February 2025 at the NAOWA Secretariat, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos as the 35th Chairperson of the chapter.
During her farewell address, Mrs. Abubakar expressed her gratitude for the support she received throughout her tenure from both NAOWA and the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives’ Association (NASWA) members, as well as the broader barracks community. She encouraged all members to extend the same level of collaboration and support to the incoming chairperson.
In her inaugural address, Dr. Mrs. Oyinlola praised NAOWA National President, Mrs. Mernan Femi Oluyede, for her inspiring leadership. She also lauded Mrs. Abubakar for her accomplishments during her term, highlighting the significant positive impact on the barracks community achieved under her leadership. “I applaud the efforts of the vibrant NAOWA team that worked diligently to foster a supportive environment for all,” said Dr. Mrs. Oyinlola. She emphasized the importance of continuing the association’s core values and solicited the ongoing support of all members to build upon the achievements of the previous administration. “We must collectively strive to reach even greater heights to leave a legacy making a positive impact on the lives of the barracks community and civilians at large.” Dr. Mrs. Oyinlola expressed her commitment to working collaboratively with all members to promote unity, positively impact humanity, and ensure a lasting legacy that embodies the resilient spirit of the NAOWA family.
The ceremony was attended by members of both NAOWA and NASWA, as well as civilian staff of the association. The handing and taking over was marked by series of events which included a dinner party held on 12 February, the official handover ceremony, group photographs, and a tour of NAOWA outlets on 13 February and was capped by a courtesy visit to the GOC/Comd OPSH on 14 February 2025.
