EFCC, Nigeria Immigration Service to Strengthen Collaboration

The Controller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Edo State Command, Comptroller U. Waziri has pledged his support to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the state.
He disclosed this on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 when he led senior officers of the Service on a courtesy visit to the Benin Zonal Command of the EFCC.

The Controller stated that the visit was to familiarize himself with the Command and strengthen existing relationship between the two organizations. “I took over the mantle of leadership as Controller a few months ago and I thought it was important for me and my team to visit your office as a way of strengthening the synergy existing between NIS and the EFCC.”
In his response, the Zonal Commander, ACE 1 Kanu Idagu thanked the Controller and his team for the visit, adding that the EFCC, from its inception has enjoyed the collaboration and support of the NIS.

Idagu noted that criminals were getting more sophisticated and only through effective collaboration can they be defeated. “Intelligence is very important to us as a Commission, so we seek continuous support and collaboration particularly in the areas of credible intelligence of suspected criminals,” he noted.
