EFCC Warns Varsity Students Against Internet Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has warned Students of the Rivers State University against involvement in internet related fraud activities.

ACE1 Ghali Ahmed, Commander of the EFCC’s Port Harcourt Zonal Command, gave the warning on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at a Cyber Security Summit held at the Rivers State University, Nkpolu, Port Harcourt.

Ghali who spoke through ACE 11 Helen Nagberi advised students to shun short cuts and stay away from practices that could land them into trouble. While expressing concern about the scourge of internet fraud, he urged the youth not to be a part of it.

Ghali further urged the students to support the EFCC in fighting Cybercrime by being good ambassadors and role models both at home and in school.
