Enlist in Anti-corruption Army, Magu Charges Students
The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has charged Nigerian students to get enlisted in the army of anti-corruption for a better tomorrow.
Magu who was speaking on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 made the charge while addressing members of the Accountability Ambassadors Club from the Forward Ever Academy School, Makurdi, Benue State, who were on a courtesy visit to the Makurdi Zonal Office of the Commission.
Magu who was represented by Babalola Johnson, the Zonal Head of the EFCC in Makurdi, enjoined the students to join the campaign against corruption and see themselves as future leaders of the country.
He described corruption as a disease that has left the country underdeveloped and advised the students to shun the practice of using the internet for criminal activities, adding that those who use the internet for Yahoo-Yahoo cannot escape the wrath of the law.
In his reaction, founder and coordinator of the Club, Abdulrashid Idris, said that the Club”s slogan is ‘Promoting Integrity Everywhere’.
He commended the Commission’s efforts at curbing corruption in the country, as he said that the purpose of the visit was to further inculcate into the students, the principles of anti-corruption.
