Exercise Ayem Akpatuma: Nigerian Army Arrest Kidnapper, Recover Weapons

Troops of headquarters command army records supported by army headquarters special forces, following intelligence report conducted a raid operation at Irovochinomi and Egee communities within Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State on 11 March 18. 4 AK rifles were recovered along with the arrest of a principal gang member, Mohammed Basir.

Mohammed Basir is a member of a kidnap gang involved the killing of an army corporal last month. Some rounds of 7.62 mm special were equally recovered.

The operation continues at pace.
