
Exhibit High Level Of Competence and Professionalism In The Field – Commander NASI Charges Graduands Of Airborne Course
In a continuous efforts to ensure troops remain highly trained to confront any form of military operational exigencies, the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) Airborne Wing, on Thursday, 23 October 2025, graduated students of third quarter courses after completing their mandatory jumps as a prerequisite to earn their respective wings.
Speaking during the final jumps at the Drop Zone in Jaji Military Cantonment Kaduna, the Commandant NASI, Major General Frank Sunday Etim commended the students for their resilience and commitment throughout the period of the training. He charged them to remain courageous, dogged and bring their knowledge to bear in the ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and insurgency across the nation.
In his words “You have gone through rigorous training to earn your wings, I urge you to channel this courage and competence in defense of our nation. The fight against insecurity requires not just skills, but bravery and show of professionalism, and today, you have proven yourselves ready for deployment when the Clarion calls”. According to him, the graduation underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to enhancing its operational capabilities through specialized training and continuous capacity building of its personnel. He added.
Earlier, the acting Chief Instructor (CI) Airborne Wing, Major A A Muhammad presented the graduating courses which includes Advance Airborne Course 30, Basic Rigger Course 46 and Basic Airborne Course 59. The CI also gave summary of the training activities, and applauded the students for their high level of discipline, physical fitness, and adaptability throughout the program. Major Muhammad then expressed gratitude to the Commandant for ensuring that all necessary resources and equipment required were provided for successful course delivery.
Maj Muhammad noted that the students have been refined and qualified to adorn their respective wings as ambassadors of the Nigerian Army Airborne Special Forces in their various units.
The climax of the event includes; the graduation jump, decoration of Captain SS Maikasuwa with his new badge of rank of Major, decoration of students with their respective badges, pushups exercise as well as kits laying and tent striking inter-company competition by cadets of Executive Commission Course 2/25.
