Tragedy: Family of Six (6) Poisoned To Death In Anambra

PUNCH reports that on Saturday, 6 siblings were tragically killed after allegedly eating poisoned food in Ekwulumili in the Nnewi Area of Anambra State

An eyewitness identified as Ewenike Ogechukwu, who shared the pictures of the deceased siblings on his Facebook wall, stated that the siblings had been poisoned by an unknown person through the food they kept at home.The parents of the deceased were said to have attempted to commit suicide after the tragedy struck, while the community had been thrown into confusion since Saturday when the children died.

Residents of the community have urged the government to look into the matter and fish out the perpetrators as the town is currently boiling over the death of the 6 siblings.

The Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Ali Okechukwu stated that he was not aware of the incident but has, however, promised to contact the police division in-charge of the area and give feedback on Monday (today).

Nigerians have since reacted to the tragedy with many raining curses on the alleged perpetrator.

However, some believe the children may have been poisoned by accident.
