Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed on Friday as fire guts Ochanja market in Onitsha.
Intelligence gathered that the fire began around 12 am and continued unabated for hours.
Online videos show sympathisers battling to put out the fire.
This is the second fire incident within a month. In the early hours of March 5, the Onitsha plastic market in Ochanja was razed with properties worth millions destroyed.
Unconfirmed sources say the fire was caused by a faulty electrical connection.
