
Force Commander ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau Visits Nigerian Contingent 4
The Force Commander of the ECOWAS Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB), Brigadier General Edward Odinya Ojabo, paid an official visit to the Nigerian Contingent 4 (NIGCoy 4) at their camp in the capital city of Guinea Bissau on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. The visit followed the successful rotation of troops between NIGCoy 3 and NIGCoy 4.
During his interaction with the troops, General Ojabo emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He urged the troops to be good ambassadors of their country and ECOWAS, upholding the values of discipline, good conduct, and exemplary character throughout their tenure in Guinea Bissau.
The Force Commander reminded the troops of the significant tasks ahead, particularly in maintaining peace and stability in the region. He stressed the need for the troops to remain vigilant, focused, and committed to their responsibilities.
