Forward Operating Base Formoso Conducts Educational Rhapsody Skill Acquisition and Quick Impact Projects In Bayelsa
On Friday 28 March 2025, Forward Operating Base (FOB) FORMOSO conducted educational rhapsody, skill acquisition and quick impact projects across her 3 host communities including Beletiama, Egweama and Liama respectively. The educational rhapsody was held at Beletiama community primary school where several teaching aids and learning materials including white boards, text/exercise books and writing materials were donated to over 500 beneficiaries.
Furthermore, FOB FORMOSO conducted a 6-day skill acquisition programme in Egweama community for the youths. The skill acquisition forum featured the conduct of intensive training sessions by resource persons specialised in artisanal production of soap (solid and liquid), creams and deodorants. This was organised to equip the women with the aforementioned skills to engender self-employment and economic advancement among them.
Lastly, FOB FORMOSO reconstructed a foot/pedestrian bridge measuring over 400 metres in length for the people of Liama community. The quick impact project was executed to alleviate the difficulties the indigenes of the community go through in accessing schools located outside their immediate environment. It is pertinent to state that the social interventions which were collectively targeted at winning the heart and minds of the people, recorded admirable success.
