General Officer Commanding 1 Division Pays Courtesy Visit To The Commandant Depot Nigerian Army Zaria, Commissions Single Officers Accommodation
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division Nigerian Army (NA), Major General Abubakar Wase, on 8 October 2025, commissioned newly remodelled single officers’ accommodation at Depot NA, Zaria. The event was during his courtesy visit to the Commandant Depot NA Zaria, Major General Ahmadu Mohammed at Chindit Cantonment Zaria, Kaduna State.
Speaking during the visit, the GOC 1 Division, stated that the purpose of his visit is in continuation of Operational/familiarization tour to formations, Units and Institutions within his Area of Responsibility . He further stated that he has also come to explore means that will be mutually beneficial to 1 Division and Depot NA Zaria.
In his response, Major General Ahmadu Mohammed, congratulated the GOC 1 DIV on his successful assumption of office. He further stated that Depot NA Zaria has always collaborated with 1 Division in the areas of Recruits training and general security of Zaria. He further affirmed his utmost commitment to sustaining the seamless collaboration between Depot NA Zaria and Headquarters 1 Division.
Major General Abubakar Wase, later commissioned a 2 new remodelled flats of Single officers Quarters executed by the Commandant Depot NA Zaria.
Other highlights of the visit were a guided tour of the Institution’s Ultra Modern Indoor Simulation Shooting Range, presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph.
