
General Officer Commanding 2 Division Nigerian Army Commissions Multiple Projects In Benin
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army(NA) Major General Christ Ralph Nnebeife has inaugurated multiple new projects at both Headquarters 4 brigade NA and 4 Brigade Garrison Ekehuan Barracks in Benin City, Edo State.
The newly remodelled social facilities and newly built accommodation were part of the legacy of the Commander 4 Brigade NA Brigadier General Ebenezer Oduyebo to bring succour to troops of the Brigade who endured a primodial accommodation challenges in the Brigade.
Speaking during the commisioning ceremony, Major General Nnebiefe stressed that the newly commisioned projects were aimed at boosting the morale of troops as parts of welfare package for operational efficiency which was in line with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Pillars.
The GOC also enjoined troops to make efficient use of the facilities and cultivate maintenance culture of their accommodations to encourage Army leadership to consider more projects in the Brigade.
He stressed that the projects will enhance the social and operational needs of the troops while strengthening the NA’s effectiveness.
The projects included remodeled Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja’s Squash Court, the Commander 4 brigade Guests House and remodeled Headquarters 4 Brigade Main gate.
Other projects commisioned at Ekehuan Barrack were Mrs Akon Vera Oduyebo Adult Literacy Center and remodeled 2×10 Families Corporal and Below Quarters.
As parts of the highlights of the event, the GOC toured the 4 Brigade Medical Center and inspected the ongoing projects at the Army Day Secondary School.
