
GOC 2 Division Assesses Operational Readiness Of Troops, Commissions Projects At Headquarters 12 Brigade
The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife on Tuesday 6 January 2026 paid an operational visit to Headquarters 12 Brigade Nigerian Army, during which he commissioned projects executed by the Brigade in furtherance of personnel welfare and improved operational efficiency.
During the visit, the GOC commissioned the remodeled Quarter Guard as well as three blocks of two bedroom two family semi detached Senior Non Commissioned Officers Quarters. He also inspected the renovated National Youth Service Corps Members Lodge and expressed satisfaction with the standard of work done, commending the Brigade leadership for its deliberate focus on welfare and provision of a conducive working and living environment for troops.
Addressing the troops, Major General Nnebeife praised the professionalism, discipline and commitment of troops of 12 Brigade. He charged personnel to remain loyal, disciplined and dedicated to duty while sustaining the tempo of operations and cooperation with sister security agencies and other stakeholders in order to ensure lasting peace and security within the Area of Responsibility.
The high points of the visit included planting of trees, signing of visitors book, presentation of souvenirs and group photographs.
Dignitaries present at the event included the Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government Commander Jerry Omodara Rtd, Commander Nigerian Navy Ship Lugard, Commodore AO Ojo, the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kogi State Command, Commander CE Aletan, members of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association and members of 12 Brigade Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association.
