GOC 7 Division Visits Troops At Gamboru Ngala, Charges Them To Sustain Tempo Against Insurgents

In an effort to exhibit a sterling leadership quality and boost troops’ moral toward annihilating Boko Haram(BHT) and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division Nigerian Army/Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN -KAI Brigadier General Ugochukwu Unachukwu had on Thursday 21 August 2025 visited troops of 3 Battalion at Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.

Speaking during the visit, the Acting GOC charged troops to sustain tempo in the ongoing strangulation operations to deny terrorits the requisite logistics to prosecute hostility against NA troops.

Brigadier General Unachukwu commended the troops for their doggedness, resilience and tactical discipline while discharging their constitutional mandates to restore peace in Borno state and North East in general. He further urged them to embrace espirit de corps which is a panacea for a successful military operation.

The Acting GOC reiterated the NA resolve to restore normalcy in North East region to encourage massive participation in agricultural and other business activities in compliance with the Federal Government’s commitment of addressing food security in the Country.

The GOC charged unit commanders to take soldiers welfare with utmost priority which forms one of the Cardinals of the Chief of Army Staff Command Philosophy.

Highlights of the visit were briefing from the Commanding officer 3 Battalion and tour of Wulgo a suburb troops’ location within Gamboru Ngala where he gave tactical guidance to enable troops to project force against the insurgents.
