Gunmen have abducted a Catholic Priest in Ikulu Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf local government area of Kaduna state.
Intelligence gathered that the assailants stormed the residence of the priest, Rev. Fr Luka Benson, around 7.30pm on Monday night.
Gunmen also invaded Apiye Jim village in Atyap chiefdom, still in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna, killing 12 persons.
Sources say the attack occurred on Sunday evening when the assailants, in their large numbers stormed the village and shot sporadically at defenceless residents.
It was gathered that the attackers came while it was raining, divided themselves into groups, and launched their onslaught. Sources say they targeted specific houses and when done, left immediately.
