The traditional ruler of Umueze Nguru, Eze Charles Iroegbu has been abducted by gunmen.
The monarch was abducted alongside his cabinet chiefs in Mbano on Wednesday night after attending a wedding function.
The abduction is coming on the heels of several attacks on police facilities by gunmen in the state, including the release of over 1800 inmates to the society.
Sources say the kidnappers are yet to make contact to state their demands.
