Gunmen on Wednesday night killed a former councilor of Sabon Gida Ward, Zamfara State, Hon. Farouq Hassan.
Intelligence gathered that his murderers stormed his house with heavy ammunition in two vehicles and killed the 38-year old politician.
It was learnt that the assailants asked Hassan to turn his back before he was shot twice in the head. However, none of his family members or neighbors were abducted during the attack.
This is coming barely 24 hours after We had reported that gunmen invaded the house of another Councillor in Zamfara, Mallam. Babangida Damba. The gunmen shot him and subsequently abducted his wife and eight-month-old son.
