GUNMEN STORM FARM IN KOGI, KIDNAP SIX FAMILY MEMBERS, KILL ONE

Gunmen have killed one person and abducted six family members inside a farm at Lagbeta community in Kogi LGA of Kogi State.

Intelligence gathered that the incident occurred around 10am on Wednesday November 24.

Sources say the victims were kidnapped while harvesting bean seeds at the farm.

Sources said the gunmen waylaid the victims at gunpoint.

While the assailants were moving the victims into a forest, one of them attempted to escape and was gunned down.

It is pertinent to mention that Labgeta community is located along the ever-busy Abuja-Lokoja highway with high records of banditry activities in recent times.

Recall that in the last one week, there have been unprecedented abductions on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, with bandits also killing former APC Gubernatorial aspirant in Zamfara, Hamidu Sagir.
