Headquarters 14 Brigade Decorates Newly Promoted Colonel
In a colourful ceremony held at the 14 Brigade Officers’ Mess, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Barracks Ohafia on 15 October 25. Lieutenant Colonel UA Garba was decorated with the new rank of Colonel following his well-deserved promotion approved by the Chief of Army Staff.
The decoration ceremony was presided over by the Commander 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General HM Bello who congratulated the newly promoted senior officer and commended his professionalism, commitment, and outstanding contributions to the Nigerian Army. He urged the senior officer to see the promotion as a call to greater service and responsibility.
Speaking after the decoration, Colonel UA Garba expressed appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General OO Oluyede (NAM) for finding him worthy of elevation. He also thanked his superiors, colleagues, and family for their continuous support and encouragement throughout his career.
The newly decorated senior officer pledged to rededicate himself to the service of the nation and uphold the core values of the Nigerian Army. The event was witnessed by senior officers, soldiers, family members, friends and well-wishers who joined in celebrating the significant milestone.
The event was concluded with a group photograph and lunch with families and relatives of the celebrant.
