HKN Artiste Mayorkun Speaks on Messy Fight Between Davido and B-red: ‘There is no Beef’

Last month, Davido took to social media to lash out at his  ‘own blood’ for getting jealous because he was promoting his new artiste, Mayorkun. He had written on his Twitter and Snapchat, “My own blood hating on me over Mayorkun’s success, wow! I have done so much for you, you still no blow. F**k outta here, hater oshi!” and it was assumed the rant was directed at his singer cousin, B-red. It is no news that Davido has tried his best to make B-red’s music career a success, promoting him on social media and supporting him in his music videos.

Now Mayorkun is speaking up about the fight between the cousins and according to him, there is nothing but love between the two. During a recent interview shared on Datswasup, the Eleko singer revealed that he didn’t even know about the whole drama until he was alerted by a friend who asked him if he was fighting with anybody.

According to him, when he went to Davido’s place in Lekki he saw everybody and he said he “met love among all”  and there was no beef in the HKN clan. “From my side I said there is no beef but one love. B-red is fine, we are all one big family.” he said. 

Since his twitter rant, Davido has gone ahead to float his own label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) which is owned solely by Davido. It is also confirmed that Mayorkun is signed to DMW wvwn though he still refers to himself as a HKN artiste on social media.

Davido met Mayor Kun (real name Mayowa Adewale) on Instagram after the young singer covered Davido’s single, The Money. He later officially signed him on to HKN and dropped his first video Eleko which has received over one million views.
