Honourable Minister Of Defence Visits Nigerian Navy School Of Armament Technology

The Honourable Minister of Defence (HMOD), His Excellency Mohammed Badaru Abubakar CON mni has charged the troops of the Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology (NNSAT) Kachia, and the Maritime Component Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY) to remain selfless and committed in the discharge of their duties. He made this assertion during his address to the troops on Saturday, 19 October 2024, at the NNSAT parade ground.

The HMOD, on his maiden visit to NNSAT, commended the troops for their dedication and sacrifices to the nation. Furthermore, he reaffirmed the commitment of the President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to always provide troops with the requisite support, including training, improved welfare, and equipment to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

Earlier, the HMOD was briefed by the Commandant NNSAT and Maritime Component Commander OPFY, Commodore Henry Aruomaren, on the activities of the school. He commended the synergy existing between NNSAT and other security outfits in achieving a common goal.

The HMOD was accompanied on the visit by the Special Adviser (Technical) to the HMOD, Major General Ahmed Tijani Jibril (Retired); the General Officer Commanding 1 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Sector 1 OPFY, Major General Mayirenso Lander Saraso; the General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Abdusalam Abubakar; and various Component Commanders and Sub-Sector Commanders.
