Hugh Hefner Sells His Infamous PlayBoy Mansion for $200m to Billionaire Bachelor
What bachelor wouldn’t want to own the Playboy Mansion? The girls, the parties and nudity; owning the Playboy mansion is definitely every young man’s dream.
Well, reports have it that Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner has sold his Playboy mansion to a 32-year-old billionaire named Daren Metropoulos. Daren, who is the owner of Twinkies and also Hefner’s neighbour, is said to have bought the infamous home of the celebrity pornographer for about $200 million.
Metropoulos currently lives in a $18 million mansion next door and plans to join the two properties together to create a 7.3 acre compound. There’s one snag though- unfortunately, Metropoulos won’t be able to move into the 29-room Playboy mansion until Hugh Hefner dies.

The Playboy Mansion , which was built in 1927, has seven bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a wine cellar, home theater, gym, tennis court, an official zoo license and pet cemetery and a swimming pool partially covered by a man-made cave. It is notorious for its numerous star-studded affairs and erotic parties and became widely popular after reality TV show The Girls Next Door, which depicted the lives of Hefner’s girlfriends at the mansion, aired on E!
The Playboy mansion will continue to remain a creative centre despite its having a new owner and with a young bachelor like Daren, we can expect nothing but more kinky and risqué parties.
