Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre Seeks Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army’s Collaboration On Doctrinal Development

The Commander of Training and Doctrine Command Nigerian Army (TRADOC NA), Major General Peter Malla, received a team from Joint Doctrine and Warfare Centre (JDWC) at its Headquarters in Minna Military Cantonment, Niger State, on Tuesday, 13 January 2026. The JDWC delegation, led by its Director General, Major General Aniedi Edet, stated that the visit was aimed at strengthening collaboration with TRADOC on Doctrine Development.

He added that “the Centre’s mission is to coordinate Doctrine Development in the Armed Forces of Nigeria (comprising Army, Navy and Air Force)”.

In his response, Major General Malla noted that TRADOC NA, with 45 years of experience in Army doctrine development and training policy, was set to work with JDWC to close gaps in Joint Doctrine and boost inter-Service synergy against security challenges. He further stated that “A common doctrine is essential for effective joint operations, and TRADOC NA stands ready to support the operationalisation of Joint Doctrine across the Armed Forces.

The visit included briefs on Nigerian Army’s Doctrine, signing of visitors’ book, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
