Kevin Hart’s Emoji App Breaks the Internet as No.1 Apple Store App
Kevin Hart is smiling all the way to the bank as his Kevmoji app leaped to no. 1 on Emoji Apple app store within 5 hours of release.
The emoji app which was launched on Tuesday is the first to feature real faces, real video-based GIFs. It also offer stickers, sound bites and a QWERTY keyboard, according to this report.
“When we decided to make Kevmoji, all I knew is that we had to do something no one else was doing,” Hart said in a statement.
“So here we are, literally changing the face of iMessage by creating a real experience through emojis and stickers, rather than in animation,” the newly married father of two said.
The funnyman who actively promoted his latest business venture on social media shared the good news on Instagram, thanking his fans for “breaking the internet” while urging them to completely destroy it.
“I love my fans….We are breaking the Internet people!!!!! Everybody is loving my “KevMoji” App….Lets keep destroying the Internet damn it!!!! Download my “KevMoji” app from my Bio!!!!! #KevMoji,” he wrote.
Kevmoji retails for $1.99 and this sure translates into crispy dollar bills for the Get Hard actor who raked in over $80million between June 2015 and 2016.
Kevin Hart joins a long list of celebrities like Kim Kardashian West who have ventured into digital businesses especially the money-spinning emoji app.
He is also expanding his digital footprint with his internet video network Laugh Out Loud, slated to launch in 2017 in partnership with Lionsgate. He’s repped by UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment and Schreck Rose.
A beautiful new wife, healthy children and a few more millions in the bank, Kevin Hart does have a lot of reasons to smile.
