Late Lt. Col. Segun Teidi Laid To Rest In Abuja

The remains of late Leuitenant Colonel Segun Teidi has been laid to rest at Guards Brigade Cemetery Lungi barracks. The late senior officer passed away on Thursday 18, January 2024 at his residence in Abuja after brief illness.

The body of Lieutenant Colonel Teidi arrived at All Saints’ Military Church Protestant, Mogadishu Cantonment where a funeral service was held in his honour before it was conveyed to the Guards Brigade Cemetery at Lungi for final interment.

Late Lieutenant Colonel Segun Teidi was born on 3 May 1981 and hails from Yagba-East LGA, Isanlu in Kogi State. He obtained BSc Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Masters in Accounting from University of Lagos, Akoka and Masters in International Relations and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

The late senior officer has a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute affiliated to Usman Danfodio University, Sokoto.

His professional Memberships include: Member Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control (FCIFC), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI) and Fellow Certified National Accountants (FCNA).

As a military officer, his awards and medals include Force Service Star (FSS) and General Operation Medal (GOM). He has served in various capacities which include:
Head of Department Management and Service Accounts (NASFA), Assistant Director of Finance (AHQ DPROC), among others. Until his death, he was the Acting Director of Finance, Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja.
He is survived by Wife, Children, Parents, Brothers and Sisters.

In attendance during the burial ceremony were senior officers from Nigerian Army Headquarters, senior officers both serving and retired from Nigerian Army Resource Center. Also present were, his spouse, daughter, immediate family members, friends, and a host of other sympathizers.
