Maheeda Pays N500k to Have Her Sweat Glands Destroyed
Maheeda is the latest celebrity to undergo the MiraDry procedure which reduces a person’s rate of sweating by 82 percent.
“Just finished having my MiraDry ….. a bit painful at the beginning but after that went well,” the controversial nudist said on her Instagram, adding that she is “hoping for a great result“, plus she plunged a whopping 1500 euros to get this done.

However, what Maheeda didn’t state is that this procedure is achieved by destroying 22,000-30,000 underarm sweat glands, and that the treatment puts people at risk of having their nerves permanently damaged.
According to Dr Mercola, though MiraDry reduces excessive sweating and is FDA approved, the side effects are quite scary as they include, “damaged hair follicles, sparser hair growth, swelling (which can be severe), numbness, weakness and/or tingling of the arm(s), nerve damage.”
There are worries that microwaving one’s underarms will come with serious health issues that are yet to be ascertained for now, and echoing Dr Mercol’s worries is this review of the treatment.
